About Us

Dr. Steven Cohen graduated from Rutgers University in 1988. After an additional four years of schooling he earned his dental degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1992. During his dental school training he worked part-time and also served as class president from his sophomore to senior years. In 1994, He completed a two-year post-doctoral orthodontic program at Temple University’s School of Dentistry, obtaining his orthodontic certificate and master’s degree in dentistry. Shortly after his graduation he spent 10 years as program director at the Albert Einstein Medical Center’s Division of Orthodontics in Philadelphia. When he opened his New Jersey office in 2006, he stepped down from his position and became a volunteer teaching faculty member at the same hospital based residency program. During his tenure at Einstein he has developed an Invisalign curriculum and a comprehensive in-office aligner program. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists, he is recognized as an expert in treating both minor and complex clear aligner cases for teens and adults as well as routine care that is done with conventional brackets.

Residing in New Jersey, Dr. Cohen and his wife Karen have been married since 1991 and have two children. In addition to working, he has enjoyed being an Eagle Scout who served as his son’s scout master and oversaw many scouts in Daretown, NJ become Eagle scouts. He enjoys being involved with community service, whether it is through south Philadelphia or the local community. The Jersey shore and the “lazy summer days” are opportunities to recharge with his wife and children. In the winter his snowy past time is skiing, while the warmer weather highlights his second passion which is serving as a high performance driving instructor. Ultimately, his passion is to use his skills to help others!
